The Destinations project was a response to the impact of the pandemic on travel, and how we remember and connect with places through photographs. While experiencing the first wave of lockdowns, Adrienna recreated her past travel photographs in punch needle embroidery, making idealized representations of her memories and experiences from different destinations. The work transcends generic snapshots, by capturing the texture and blurriness of memory itself, highlighting our struggle to recall and reconstruct moments.
Adrienna has exhibited pieces from the Destinations series in several group and solo exhibitions across Toronto and New York. Select pieces have been procured by Earl's Restaurant, and several pieces have been featured in press, including The Globe and Mail and Frankie Magazine.
